I have always found the book of Revelations to be a hard read, confusing, but the series really helped shed light on the end times. This second time around being more firmly set in my faith it just made me truly yearn for my everlasting home and to be with my father in heaven. This is one I would recommend to anyone who has questions about this time. Take advantage of the given scriptures throughout the story and look them up and study them to determine for yourself what is to come.

Though it’s not as exciting as the other books in the series, some parts are rather slow, but it’s still quite enjoyable, kind of in a different way. Since the characters are never really in danger, some might consider it to be boring. But after all they’ve been through in the tribulation, I think it’s nice that now they can finally relax and enjoy things. However I will admit that the second time I read it, it did start to seem boring at times, more than the other books. It gets rather interesting near the end, but these parts are unfortunately rather short. There were 2 main things that I was very disappointed about with this book- it’s too short, and most characters from the earlier books in the series are never seen. Throughout the Series, many many characters are killed. I was always looking forward to this book, expecting that they would finally be seen again. But that’s not the case. Only 4 of the characters who died are seen again, only one of which died early on. There were several other characters briefly seen at the end of the last book, but almost none this time. Many of the characters who survived the tribulation are never seen either, except for a brief list near the end. This really was very disappointing. They also have a bit too many new characters, they should’ve used more of the previous ones. There’s one notable character from the other books who doesn’t have a major part in this story, but he is seen briefly which is something that they should’ve done with many other characters. The best way to sum it up is that it simply is not long enough. Most of it takes place less than 100 years into the 1,000 year kingdom. They should’ve made a few more books, perhaps one for every 300 years or so. I really wish they’d make a spin off series for this or something. One other thing I should point out is that, like all of the books in the Left Behind series (except for perhaps “The Rising”), this story is meant to portray real events that the Bible predicts will happen someday. This one is unique in that unlike any of the other books in the series (not counting the prequels), it’s the only one that covers events that we who are Christians will experience, since we will not be here for the tribulation. Unfortunately I think we need to be very cautious about treating this as a “preview” of what we will experience. I have no doubt that of the hundreds of prophecies covered in the “Left Behind” series, some are covered quite well, while others are somewhat accurate, and some aren’t accurate at all. Though there’s no way to know for sure, but I really think that this one is probably the least accurate of all. This is partly because the Bible does not give very many details about the Millennial Kingdom, and some of the details that are given are a bit uncertain. There are some minor things in this book that I don’t agree with, especially some conflicts that occur among those with glorified bodies. I may be wrong, but since they will be sinless, I don’t believe they will have major disagreements. The book also seems to treat the fictional characters with glorified bodies a little bit differently than real people who are portrayed. The real people sometimes instantly disappear and go somewhere else. Based on what the Bible say’s I do believe this is something that we may be able to do, but it wouldn’t be different from those in modern times verses those from Bible times. Of all the fictional characters in this book, about the only major difference it gives between those with natural bodies, and those with glorified bodies is that the glorified ones don’t age.Though it could be better, overall it is basically a nice finish to the series. I wish they would make one like this for the “Left Behind Kids” series.

After reading through some comments on Left Behind's final novel "Kingdom Come" I seriously considered stopping at "Glorious Appearing." (Don't forget books 14-16 - "The Rising," "The Regime," and "The Rapture" - of course; though I liked them better as books 1-3, leaving "Left Behind" as #4) "Glorious Appearing," after all, did come together enough at the end to be a nice conclusion all on its own. But WOW am I glad I talked myself into finishing the series off the way the authors intended! I really enjoyed "Kingdom Come."In "Kingdom Come" we actually get the opportunity to know Kenney and others from his generation; and we get to see the troubles they have to face, even during Jesus' 1,000 year reign on earth. About 100 years into Jesus' reign a new defiant group of non-believers are popping up everywhere called "The Other Light" (TOL), or in some particularly extreme areas "The Only Light." (How anyone would not accept Jesus as our Lord and savior at that point in history is beyond me!) All of the new found chaos has caused a need for a whole new group of believers similar to the Tribulation Force to emerge, and their goal is to infiltrate the "TOL," and make any possible attempts to save young souls before it is too late for them.I don't want to give anything away, so the only other thing I want to stress is the fact that once I started reading "Kingdom Come" I could not put it down! It could have easily been a start to a whole new side series focusing on Jesus' 1,000 year reign. I have a feeling Kenney and his friends could have had plenty of adventures left yet to come.As a person who had very little knowledge of religion and the Bible before reading the Left Behind series I am now full of questions I simply have to find the answers to. I have a new found desperate urge to absorb as much information as I can pack into my brain, and I'm really enjoying it!I would most definitely suggest reading this final novel in the Left Behind series! In my opinion it was one of the best.

Not as exciting as the previous books but you have to consider that everyone is living in a Utopian society of sorts. No one writes about the millennial kingdom, though, and it was a great way to finish out the story. I am very glad they wrote this so we could see what happened to these characters that become like family you know them so well. I also thought they did a good job of building drama and a story given that it could have dragged due to the perfect world that people perceive it will be. If you have read the Left Behind series you should read this to finish out the story of these characters and get a unique view of a rarely discussed promise of the bible.

Even though I believe that the series as a whole misses key points. I believe that the writer goal to paint a picture of the timely shortly to be upon us does well. I believe it honors God and I do not doubt that although mainly a series of books by believer read by believer, I do not doubt that this has led some unsaved to Christ and inspired large number numbers of believers. On that basis I recommend thisbook.

Yes these books have changed me. I have a ways to go.I am torn, not as a believer because I do indeed believe, but my small mind is yet incapable of taking such a big step without my family believing as I do now. I know I must accept Christ first and I will. Time and courage is what I need and of course in no small way, Christ! Thank you Tim and Jerry for writing this story. And thank you Lord for making me such an avid reader!
